First things first:
We realize that, relative to many organizations and job postings, this section is lengthy. However, the way we see it is that Mostly Math provides professional services, and our employees must be highly committed. If you are willing to take the time to read and follow our application requirements to serve yourself in this process, then you will be willing to go that extra mile to serve your students.
Applicants should read this entire page carefully to learn how to properly apply for these positions. Applications that do not include the required information or do not follow the procedure outlined below will not be considered.
At any time, we may have a small number of part-time positions (2-10 hours per week) available. These positions often begin as casual positions, but for the right people who can please their students and generate their own referrals, hours can quickly multiply.

While most companies frown upon extensive resumes or personal letters, we feel that we are simply unable to judge most applicants from a single piece of paper. Mostly Math works with a variety of learners for a variety of purposes. We are happy to entertain proposals for contract employment in the following areas:
Including but not limited to math, language and academic topics e.g. study skills, Math in Art, how to write an essay, how to write a research paper, essential math skills for university
Talented individuals are invited to submit proposals for workshops, seminars, and other group learning activities. Successful applicants will have at least three years of recent experience developing and conducting group workshops and/or seminars. Successful applicants should feel completely comfortable with their subject matter and should be able to prepare a logical, coherent presentation. Successful candidates will be able to present to a wide range of audience members and will be able to develop and lead interesting presentations that captivate, teach and inspire their audience.

Are you a tutor looking for a good place to tutor? If you are an established tutor with your own students and are tired of spending half your time travelling, or searching for empty rooms at school or in a library then consider applying for a chair at Mostly Math.
Successful applicants can receive their personal room for tutoring, access to books, worksheets, sample tests, other tutors (for learning and socializing),refreshments and basic office amenities such as photocopier, fax and telephone. Students will come to you, reducing your travel time and increasing the number of students you can see.
